“‘Serpentine’?!” the girls exclaimed, staring at her. The girl grinned at them, showing off her sharp row of teeth.

“Surprised?” she questioned, red eyes piercing through them. “You should be…”

“I must admit, she is a surprisingly impressive warrior” Megatron marveled at her. “An organic like you, yet crafty and deadly as any Decepticon.”

“Hang on,” Alex started, looking at him angrily. “When did Decepticons allow humans to join them?!”

“We don’t,” Starscream stated coldly, hinting a twang of venom. Before Alex could react, Serpentine appeared directly in front of her. She grabbed her by the throat and hoisted her up close, face to face, hissing angrily. As she did, the whites of her eyes turning black for the moment, making her red eyes scarier.

“Watch who you call ‘human’ child,” she seethed out. “I’m not as weak as you or any other human; I’m a spell caster and a snake,” she whispered as her grip tighten, slowly choking her. Rox and Lepa gasped and were about to tackle her, when the Casseticons pinned them down.

“Hey now don’t spoil our fun!” Frenzy cackled as Rox squirmed underneath. Lepa growled angrily up at them.

“Let her go you fragger!” Lepa cursed darkly, struggling to stand under Ravage’s weight. “And get off me you fat metal cat!”

Alex tried to gasp out at them, but couldn’t. She felt constricted, like a serpent with its prey.

“Serpentine, now is not the time to dispose of them; release her from your grip,” Megatron commanded, staring her down. Serpentine glared back, but huffed, letting her go. Alex gasped for air as she and the others were released. Rox and Lepa quickly went to her.

“Alex, are you OK?!” Rox exclaimed as her friend panted for air. She felt her neck, still feeling the grip around her neck. Lepa growled turning to the serpent child.

“You wanna fight you glitch?!” she snarled, instincts taking over. She began to run at her, but this time was held back by Rumble. “Let me go you mother fragger so I can kick this slagger’s aft!” she screamed kicking the air. Serpentine just grinned and turned to Megatron, the lust for blood bright in her eye.

However, Megatron shook his head. “Return these prisoners back to their cell; we must now continue with our plans…” he rumbled, the malevolent grin returning to his face. Starscream glared bitterly at Serpentine, before bowing before him.

“As you command, oh Mighty Megatron,” he said, full of fake admiration before turning to Rox and them. “You heard our glorious leader; move!” he growled angrily. Rox stuck out her tongue to him, just as mad.

“Go slag yourself Starscream you aft-hole!”

“You are in no position to bad-mouth me human!”

“I can bad-mouth you anytime I want Squeaky!”

“Shut up fleshing!”

“Make me fragger!”

“FLESHBAG!”

“SUCK-UP!”

“ENOUGH!” Megatron bellowed, causing the two to stop abruptly. “Take them away! And bring along that Autobot scrapheap as well!” He snarled, clearly not amused. Serpentine turned away from the scene, smiling slightly at Starscream’s blunder.

He huffed, turning a slight red in the face plate before taking Bumblebee and leading out the girls, Lepa still kicking about and yelling curses.

“Now…” Megatron began softly, “I believe it’s time for you to explain this plan more thoroughly Serpentine…” She bowed low as Soundwave entered the room.

“As you command, my Lord…”

~*~*~*~*~

“Dammit bring her here so I can kick her sorry aft you sons of glitches!” Lepa continued yelling and cursing.

“Lepa chill! Save your energy and help think of a way to get us out of here!” Alex stated, still rubbing her neck. They were sent back into their cell and been waiting what seemed like forever. Lepa growled darkly before sitting against Bee. She checked his spark again. Beating, but still hadn’t woken up yet. She sighed, tired.

“But I hate waiting! And I hate the fact that Bee is still unconscious, and that dammed snake is their new member…” she growled as Alex nodded.

“Yeah I know…but we still need to get out. And without our powers at our disposal, we need a plan.” Alex said, looking over at Rox. “By the way, have you thought of one yet? ….Rox?” she asked, as both girls looked at the teen sitting away from them. She hadn’t said a word; she just continued to look down

“Dude you OK?” Lepa questioned, walking over to her.

“AH-HA I GOT IT!” she yelled happily, startling them and making Lepa fall backwards.

“OW!” She yelled rubbing her backside. “You know a way out?” Alex asked hopefully.

“No I got my spy bug online!” she grinned happily. Lepa and Alex looked at each other before exploding at the unsuspecting teen.

“YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE THINKING OF A WAY OUTTA HERE!!!”

“Ow jeez we aren’t even over the phone and you’re still hurting my ears!” Rox moaned covering her ears. “OK, OK, come here then,” she said quickly after, seeing their evil angry faces. They circled her and looked down at her phone.

“Explain; what’s a spy bug and where is it?” Lepa questioned, demanding an answer. Rox quickly showed them her phone, which seemed to be on video mode. Only it was videoing something somewhere else.

“My spy bug is something I rigged up one day when Wheeljack was out. It didn’t work though, but while I was waiting for you guys to come rescue me, I began to fiddle with it. And now I’ve got it to work and I’m making it crawl about the Con’s base as we speak.” She finished proudly. Alex peered at the screen curiously.

“What bug is it?”

“It’s actually not a bug but an arachnid,”

“A what?”

“A spider.”

“Ohhhh….wait why a spider of all bugs??” Lepa asked.

“Why not? Eight legs to crawl and spins web!” Rox concluded. Lepa and Alex stared at her.

“Wheeljack only made spider cams huh?”

“Yeah…”

“At any rate, that doesn’t matter right now,” Alex said shaking her head, “what is important is what is that bug doing and how’d you plant it.” Rox chuckled evilly.

“Dropped it when Starscream got yelled at; as for what it’s doing, it’s gonna uncover what the Cons plan is…” she trailed off looking at the screen.

“And I think it’s found something.” Lepa stated pointing at the screen. They saw Frenzy past the spy-spider, hauling in a large bag.

“What do you think he’s carrying?” Alex asked as Rox began to press some buttons.

“Only one way to find out,” she said, making the arachnid hop onto Frenzy’s foot and crawl up onto his shoulder.

~*~*~*~*~

“That’s the last of the bags we hauled off now,” Frenzy huffed, dropping the bag down next to the rest of them. “Man how do you fleshings even carry this green paper stuff??” he questioned, stretching out himself. His counterpart shrugged, placing his bag down as well.

“Who knows? Do I look like an organic to you??” he questioned. A chuckle was heard behind them as they turned. Serpentine grinned at them, chuckling a bit.

“Don’t worry boys, you won’t be looking like any human males; it’ll be them big boys who will,” she chuckled darkly, plotting. Rumble looked at Frenzy who just shrugged.

“Whatever you say Boss lady,” Frenzy said in a mock salute. “But maybe you can explain why we stole earth money?”

“That is what I’d like to know as well,” came the chew-toy voice at the door. Megatron walked in with Starscream, the other two Seekers trailing behind him. Serpentine bowed before him, no hint of mockery in it.

“My Lord I did not hear you come in, nor did I realize that you would bring the Seekers as well; not that I mind…” she trailed off, quickly gazing at each Seeker. Starscream narrowed his eyes at her while Skywarp and Thundercracker looked dubiously at each other.

“We’ve been taking orders from a little organic?!” Thundercracker exclaimed. Serpentine narrowed her eyes at him, hissing angrily. However Megatron glared darkly at him, cold fury in his optics.

“Do you dare question my judgment Thundercracker?” he growled, making him shake in fear.

“Never, Lord Megatron! It’s just that, what it she doing here??” he quickly said, saving himself in the nick of time.

“Apparently, she’s trying to prove herself worthy of Decepticon ranking…” Starscream sneered, still glaring at her. “Though that remains to be seen…”

“But to see you must open your optics to the opportunities around you Starscream…” she hinted back, hiding her grin. He scowled as Megatron looked at the bags.

“Care to explain to these simpletons how bags of these papers will help me defeat the Autobots once and for all?” Megatron commanded, shifting his gaze down at her. Grinning openly now, she turned and opened one of the bags.

“Quite simple, my Lord. You defeat the Autobots,” she began, taking out a handful of the green bills, “with the help of the ones they are sworn to protect…”

“Humans?! HA! That’s your plan?!” Starscream cackled. “What good are you humans anyway?? All you do is scream and run when we come!” Serpentine looked coolly at him, eyebrow raised.

“Is that so? Then explain why they humans seem to always kick you in the crankshaft Screamer?” she questioned, making him pause and blush in embarrassment. The other Seekers and Cassetticons laughed at him.

“She got you there Starscream!” Skywarp chuckled out. Screamer glared at him angrily.

“Be quiet you!” Megatron couldn’t help but also grin at Starscream’s blunder. Returning his expressionless face he looked down at her again, waiting for her to continue.

“What you are looking for, what you’ve been breaking into every science facility for, you can’t seem to find.” She continued. “This tech for this weapon you want, you’ll never find if you keep on doing this. So, don’t even lift a servo, and let humans do all the work…”

“And how do you see that happening? Humans know the Decepticons; they won’t willingly help us!” Thundercracker exclaimed. Serpentine waved a finger at him.

“True. But they’ll help anyone when they know they’ll be rewarded well for their…‘services’” she explained, smirking. “Knowing that, then you’ll need to find who can get you what you want.”

“Hold on, I don’t get it,” Skywarp cut in, confused. “Aren’t all humans the same?” Serpentine glared coldly at him, eyes turning black again.

“Are every Cybertronian the same? Do they all listen to one leader?” she paused as she received no answer. “I didn’t think so.”

“Humans are as complex as you beings. There are the goodie-two shoes. And,” she began again placing the money back in the bag, “there are those who see money as power. And the more they can get, the more they will do for it.”

“But to find the right human for the job, that is the trick. Fortunately, Serpentine has already suggested many candidates for this,” Megatron continued, gesturing to Soundwave. He was at the large computer searching up various humans.

“Soundwave report; have you located one yet?” he demanded.

“Negative,” he replied in his monotone voice as he continued to type away. Starscream squinted unhappily.

“Human? What human can aid us?” he questioned. She grinned darkly.

“You have your own wars, and so do humans. If you know where to look you can find just about anyone…” she stated softly, sending cold vibes through Starscream. He didn’t trust this…. human, but she seemed too…..perfect. Loyal, deadly, and crafty; she was the ideal Decepticon.

He loathed the fact that he could admit that.

Before Starscream could complain about it, a click echoed in the room. All turned towards the sound, looking at the female barring her blaster. She growled, grinding her fangs together.

“W-what…” Starscream tried to demand. Serpentine just hissed loudly, tightening her grip.

“I don’t like spies, Starscream,” she said flatly. In a flash, she pulled out her second blaster and shot straight to her right, right past Frenzy.

No one moved a servo, the smoke from the blaster rising slightly. Then Frenzy fell over onto his crankshaft, surprised.

“What did you do?!” Rumble suddenly exclaimed.

At that moment the noise in the room exploded to a load buzz, as they all began wondering at what she did. She went past Frenzy as Megatron ordered them to cease their senseless ramblings.

“Don’t worry about him,” she began, bending down next to Frenzy. “He’s fine,” she stated aimlessly, picking up something nearby, as he quickly ran over to his counterpart.

“Frenzy! Snap outta it already!” he yelled shaking him. Soon, Frenzy onlined himself, groaning.

“Aw Rumble, what happened?” he asked, catching his head. Rumble sighed before whacking him.

“You slagger!” he yelled as Frenzy yelped in pain. As they continued to fight, Megatron suddenly stood directly in front her, startling her.

“My Lord?” she asked. He looked down at her, eye glowing red. Starscream smirked evilly from behind the other two Seekers watching. Surely now Megatron will crush this organic for attacking a comrade.

“Care to explain your actions Serpentine?” he growled menacingly. She bowed low, opening her hand towards to him

“My Lord I have just said it; I don’t like spies. Especially those who have silly little toys…” she stated again. In her hand was what was left of a little mechanic insect. Megatron looked sully at it, before looking at Soundwave.

Soundwave nodded, taking the bits from her and scanning them. Starscream growled in impatience.

“Well??” he squeaked angrily. Soundwave then nodded in agreement.

“Positive; parts of inferior scout device,” he replied. She stood up before him as she explained her recent actions to Megatron.

“Forgive my rash actions,” she began in her sickeningly sweet voice, “but I was afraid if I had pointed it out then we would not be able to stop it in time…”

“Soundwave?”

“Positive Lord Megatron; Serpentine tells truth,” he answered again. Starscream couldn’t believe it and clearly stated so.

“I can’t believe you’re actually buying into this Megatron!” he yelled angrily. Megatron looked at him coolly.

“Why does it seem to surprise you Starscream?” he asked.

“Because how do you know she wasn’t the one who planted that thing?! For all we know she could be a traitor!” he spat out, glaring at her. She smiled cruelly to him.

“Ahhhhh, but Starscream, does it not take one to know one?” she questioned evilly. He suddenly fell silent, before understanding what she said.

“HEY!” he yelled angrily before Megatron cut him off.

“As much as I hate to say this, Starscream may have a point; how you we not know it was you who planted the spy insect?” Megatron demanded curtly.

“Because, my Lord, I can feel the presence of that human child within those leftover bits,” Serpentine answered smoothly, “as I am able to; besides, I do not need silly toys to spy…”

“What do you mean by—GAH!” Thundercracker suddenly jumped as something slithered by his foot. Skywarp jumped as well as a large winding serpent winded his way around the floor.

“What the pit?!” Starscream exclaimed in surprise as he jumped out of the way. The enormous black snake slithered around Serpentine, winding up to her shoulder, hissing quietly into her ear.

“I have my own special…brand of informants,” she smirked, before looking back into her scaly friend’s brilliant green eyes. “And even this darling here can conclude that it was that human girl who sent it…”

Just then, something beeped on the monitor. Soundwave turned to Megatron and bowed.

“Lord Megatron one is located.” Megatron smiled evilly.

“Excellent….” He began, turning towards the Seekers. “You three will listen to Serpentine; she will oversee this little operation of hers….”

“WHAT?!” Starscream exploded. Thundercracker also joined him in irritation.

“We gotta follow her?? Who knows what she has planned?!” TC commented. Skywarp shrugged.

“As long as we don’t do something dumb I’m fine,” he answered. TC and Screamer just rolled their optics irritably. Skywarp WAS dumb; he didn’t know what he was saying sometimes.

However Megatron stood firm. “Do not question my command or I will have all of you eliminated!” he threatened, narrowing his optics at them, making them freeze.

Reluctantly, they bowed. “As you wish, Lord Megatron…” they replied, understanding him command.

Megatron smirked again. “Good; now Serpentine, I leave them in your capable…hands,” he waved of, leaving the room. Serpentine grinned devilishly walking towards them.

“As you command, my Lord,” she stated, disappearing. The trio looked around wildly for her, surprised.

“Hey where’d she go?!” TC exclaimed. Starscream growled while Skywarp shrugged.

“Don’t worry boys,” they heard her disembodied voice about them, freaking them out. “I’m just getting the co-ordinates from Soundwave,”

Skywarp then felt something resting on his shoulder. Looking he gasped, seeing Serpentine there. “How did you…” he began, clearly impressed. She smiled poisonly sweet to him.

“I have my ways sweetheart,” she began, the other two now seeing her there. “Now, you two take them bags and let’s start moving.” She commanded. TC reluctantly obeyed. Starscream however, held his ground.

“Why should I follow some stupid fleshing like you?!” he snarled. Serpentine looked directly at his optics coldly.

“I am not making you follow me; Lord Megatron made you. If you wish to disobey his direct orders, then be my guest. I do not care if you get destroyed.” She replied curtly. He growled. She was right though; if he didn’t listen Megatron would surely destroy him.

Seeing that she had won this round, she smirked. “Now that we are all onboard, let us get moving.”

“We got much bargaining to do….”

~*~*~*~

“Slag we lost the connection!” Lepa swore angrily. Rox tried to reach the spider bug but to no avail. It was offline for good.

“Greeeeat; now what do we do?!” Alex groaned while Lepa sat back down next to Bee.

“Don’t know; but we need a way out NOW,” Lepa concluded. Rox looked sarcastically at her.

“No duh Lepa,”

“You wanna start something??”

“Hey you started it not me!”

“You know I don’t have to go dragon to kick your sorry—”

“GUYS!” Alex yelled. “Chill; taking it out on each other is not going to help us!” Rox and Lepa looked down. She was right; the needed to work together to get out of this jam.

“OK so let’s review what we know first,” Rox suggested. “Then from there we figure a way out.”

“Well, we know that the recruit is a cold-hearted mother fragging glitch,” Lepa commented darkly. “And deceived us into thinking she was Maya,”

“OK that’s one point…” Alex said. “We also know that she has some sort of plan with them that involves money and us humans…”

“Maybe she’s paying someone to help the Decepticons?” Rox suggested once more. Alex shook her head.

“I don’t think to help the Cons; maybe more to work for them??” Alex thought out loud. “But what human in their right mind would help a Decepticon?”

“One who might gain something out of helping them...” Lepa stated. “I’ve lived long enough to know that humans can and will do almost anything if they know that they’ll be rewarded well for their services,”

“You know…the humans might not even know that it’s a Con they’re helping.” Lepa gasped as the three turned around. There Bee slowly online himself, and looked up at them.

“What? It’s a possibility,” he shrugged. At that moment Lepa swung her arms around him, the other two hugging him as well.
“You’re still with us!” Rox exclaimed. Bee just smiled and winced under the pressure.

“Now I know how Maya felt when we hug her,” he said groaning a bit. “Mind letting go now? I’m kind of injured if you haven’t noticed yet.”

“Sorry.” They let go, while Lepa bonked him.

“OW! What was that for?!” Bee exclaimed unhappily, rubbing his head. Lepa frowned at him.

“You had us scared you jerk!” she yelled.

“How is that my fault?!” Bee yelled back. Soon the couple was arguing with each other. Alex and Rox just watched bored.

“How long do you think they’ll argue?”

“Two minutes; then they’ll be making out like they always do…”

“I heard that Alex!”

“What??” Alex said innocently. She felt something brush against her hand. Thinking it was Rox, she brushed it off. Then the feeling came back again. Irritably, Alex turned to the mad scientist next to her.

“Rox what are you doing??” Rox looked at her funny.

“What are you talking about?” Alex stared back at her.

“Wait; if you aren’t…then what’s…” Slowly Alex looked behind her. There she saw a scaly body slither behind her.

Silence. Then Alex screamed dragging Rox away from the giant serpent.

“Oh dear sweet primus IT’S A GIANT SNAKE!” Lepa yelled out, standing protectively in front of Bee. Rox gasped as she saw how big it got.

“Oh slag we are so screwed…” Rox twitched, watching as the black scaly creature rose up, hovering over them. Its bright green eyes gazed hungrily at them, deciding which would taste better.

“Lepa do something!” Alex yelled out. “You’re part scaly; tell it to go away!”

“I don’t think it’s gonna be listening to me anytime soon!” Lepa yelled back, staring at the giant thing. It was huge! It could literally swallow all of them in one gulp.

“If anyone can save us, then please do it quick!” Bee yelled just as the beast went down for a strike.

Suddenly, out of the blue, a blur slashed through the snake. It stood still for a moment. Then, the snake slowly split into two halves, and fell over, dead. Its dark blood seeped everywhere, blossoming and covering much of the floor.

“OK….thank you??” Bee asked nervously. Alex continued to stare at the dead serpent.

“Who…who did that?” she wondered out loud, Rox edging a bit away from the seeping crimson fluid. Lepa tore her gaze from it to the corner of the cell.

“Dunno….you can ask them though,” she pointed out, making them look.

There standing, were two cloaked figures. One was large and burly; the other smaller and daintier. Both were cloaked so that their hoods covered much of their face; the shadows hid their mouths as well. However the smaller one had blood on its cloak, as well as wielding twin daggers, covered in blood. Obviously the smaller one must have killed the beast.

“Uh…who are you?” Rox asked abruptly. The large one shook its head.

“Okaaay….. guess that means he can’t tell us??” Alex tried interpreting. This time, the smaller one nodded.

“OK so are you here to help us?!” Lepa demanded. A nod was given; they were indeed here to do so.

“Should we trust them?” Alex whispered quietly. Rox shrugged.

“Anyone who saves my life from a giant killer snake can’t be all bad; right?”

“Good point.”

“Wait how are they gonna do that??” Bee asked.

As if on cue, the giant quickly floated to them, winds brushing past him. In one quick motion he opened his cloak, revealing to them a black void. Rox let out an ‘eep’ while the others gasped at the sight of the blackness. Before they could react, he engulfed his cloak about them, taking them into the darkness.

Suddenly, they felt their bodies fall. At the same time, they felt tired. As they all succumbed to the comforting blackness around them, they all shared a similar question.

Who helped them and why?
